He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lewis William and Evelyn Shurtliff (Byrd); his wife Janet; his children, Melody Elder (Chad), Zoe Shurtliff, William Vida Shurtliff (Rachelle), Keenan Allion (Greg) and Josiah Shurtliff (Emily); his grandchildren, Isaiah (Bethany), William, Luke, Hanna, Karissa, Evelyn, Helen, Noelle, Addison, Annika, John, Melanie, Mark and Thomas; his great grandchild Ellis John; and his sisters, Dana and Jody. He was also cherished by many cousins, nieces and nephews, and in-laws.
Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Mary Roman Catholic Church of Manchester or St. Louis Center of Chelsea.
