She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernice Simpson and Colonel Robert B. Simpson; her mother-in-law Wilma Duke; and her brother-in-law David Nelson Duke. She is survived by: her husband Paul Simpson Duke; her sons, Robert "Rob" and Charles "Charlie"; her brother Sloan Simpson of Athens, Georgia; her cousin Sheree Tolbert (Ty) of Columbus; her children-in-law, Stephanie (Leonard) of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Chris (Lindsay) of Ann Arbor; her siblings-in-law, John Duke of Birmingham, Alabama and Marcia Duke of Liberty, Missouri; her nephew Wesley Duke (Katie) of Kansas City, Missouri; and her niece Hillary White (Jason) of Arlington Heights, Illinois. She is also survived by her great nephews and great nieces; and many more beloved relatives and friends.
