He was predeceased by: his son Rajesh Malladi Shastry. He is survived by: his wife Nirmala M Shastry; his daughter Deepa; his daughter-in-law Padmaja; and his grandchildren, Divya, Milin, Supriya, Leela and Sai.
In honor of his memory, in lieu of flowers the family kindly requests donations be made to American Brain Tumor Association and Alzheimer's association.
