We are sad to announce that on December 15, 2024 we had to say goodbye to Nancy Harter of Ann Arbor, Michigan, born in Toledo, Ohio. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Nancy leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert J. Harter and Loretta E. Harter (Baumgartner). She is survived by: her children, Theodore Rokicki and Anne Gray of California; and her caregiver Nancy. She is also survived by four grandchildren, and several great grandchildren, along with many cousins and dear friends.

Nancy was charitable to the point of having a mailbox that filled up daily with donation requests. To honor that trait along with her independent spirit, if you feel moved to make a donation to a charity of your choice in Nancy's memory, we think that would please her.

“I would like to offer my sincere sympathy to Nancy's family. When I would drop in on her unannounced she was always so welcoming & always offered me a cup of coffee & cookies. I have celebrated more than one Christmas with her, plus probably other holidays, too, by eating out, which she loved to do. I wore the sapphire blue earrings at her memorial service that she'd given me, for which I've gotten compliments in the past. She was an exceptionally faithful & good friend!”
