He knew I had gone to residential mental health treatment for bipolar, and was so incredibly generous with his time, knowledge and care. Max would quickly become one of my favorite people on Earth, and a role model I could always turn to. “I lived with Max for many years. From transitional housing to sharing an apartment together. He was a fundamental pillar in the start of my recovery. We would share a monthly meal (mainly Indian food). He was a dear friend of mine that I was lucky enough to have met and shared so many meals, conversations and memories.
