We bid farewell to Marlys Hoover (Ann Arbor, Michigan), born in Wallace, Idaho, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on March 15, 2025 at the age of 86. Marlys touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Elizabeth Ackerman and Christian A. Ackerman; her husband Hugh Douglas Hoover; and her brother James Ackerman. She is survived by: her children, Judith L. Maynard (Michael), Nancy E. Delnay (Cliff) and Steven D. Hoover (Susan); her grandchildren, Judy, Amy Lyle (Greg), Andrew Maynard (Ashley), Brittany Malagic (Fahro), Sarah Osmanovic, Nancy, Benjamin, Aaron, Elizabeth, Josiah Delnay (Nicole), Steve, Bethany Mann (Greg), Jonathan and Joshua; and her sister Mary Jane Luniewski. She is also survived by 14 great grandchildren, 6 nieces, 6 nephews, and their extended families.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, March 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Luke Lutheran Church (4205 Washtenaw Ave, Ann Arbor, MI 48108). A burial will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Washtenong Memorial Park (3771 Whitmore Lake Rd, Ann Arbor, MI 48105).
