He was predeceased by: his close friend Doris Neithammer; his former wife Norma Spiess; the mother of his children Joan Schultz; his brother Fred (Beverly); and his son-in-law Jay Scott.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Scott, Connie Hlavka (Rich), Robert Spiess, Jerry Spiess (Lorri) and Luann Coy (Jeff). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and four nephews.
