He is survived by: his wife Viridiana; his children, Nathalie, Jose Jr. and Carlos; his parents, Carmelo Diaz and Ana Luisa Diaz; his siblings, Ana Maria Gutierrez (Fernando) and Rodolfo Diaz; and his pets, Daisy and Luna. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended relatives.
