Joretta Emily (Cheli) Ewald Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joretta Emily (Cheli) Ewald of Ann Arbor, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 14, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jimmy Cheli and Florence Cheli (Tonielli); her husband Dr. Richard Alexander Ewald of Mary's Church; and her son Gregory Richard Ewald. She is survived by: her children, Lynne Gerding of Naperville, Lisa Kelley (Brian) of Ann Arbor and Roger Ewald II of St. Louis; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Jones (Rhys), Allison Kruger (Kevin), Lauren Zekiri (Boyar), Neal Kelley (Emma) and Claire Leon (Diana); and her siblings, Jim Cheli, Jr. and Bernie Eustice. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Oakwood Memorial Park (2405 Champlain St, Ottawa, IL 61350). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
