It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John R. Gilbert (Ann Arbor, Michigan), who passed away on July 19, 2022, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John J. Gilbert and Kathleen M. Gilbert; his wife Margaret "Peggy" Gilbert (Peggy); and his sister Ann Weidner. He is survived by: his sister Anne; his daughters, Stephanie Gooden (Jim), Margaret Margetich (Paul) and Mary Kate Hayes (David); his grandchildren, Connor, Morgan, Maxwell, Eleanor, Sarah and Jack (Hannah); his great grandchildren, Theodore and Carter; and his sister Sue Cleary (James). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
To honor the memory of John R. Gilbert, in lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Angela Hospice Care Center.
