He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerry and Navy; his wife Edna Bridges; his sons, Will E. Scott (Scottie) and Jerry Bridges Jr.; his grandson Shawn Bridges; and his siblings, Herbert, Johnny James, Jessie, Leonard, Liddie Viola, Lille Bell, Gracie and Cleopatra.
He is survived by: his children, Kenneth Bridges (Alice) of Ann Arbor and Paula Bridges of Dexter; his daughter-in-law Brenda Scott Savage of Missouri City, Texas; his cousin Cheryl Ervin of Ann Arbor; his friends, Reverend Charles of Ann Arbor, Luanna Slay of Ann Arbor, Deacon John of Ann Arbor, Geneva Hardin of Ann Arbor and Joe Johnson of Ann Arbor; and also, Pat and Shirley Taylor of Dexter. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; eight great great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.
