With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Janice B. Longone (Ann Arbor, Michigan), born in Boston, Massachusetts, who passed away on August 3, 2022 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alexander Bluestein and Edith Bluestein (Gropman); and her sister Louise. She is survived by: her husband Dan; and her brother Bernard Bluestein (Annette) of Florida.
With a keen intellect and quizzical spirit, Jan loved serving as judge for numerous cookbook awards including ones for the International Association of Culinary Professionals, the James Beard Foundation, and the Tabasco Community Cookbook Awards.
