He was predeceased by: his wife Edie; and his parents, Jack and Margaret. He is survived by: his brothers, Dale (Karen) and George; his children, Cheri Gatzke (Todd) of Ypsilanti Twp, Jack "J. D." Pelton of Saline and Greg Pelton of Saline; his grandchildren, Angela LaPine (Ryan), Kayla Williams (Paul), Cole Pelton and Connor Pelton; and his great grandchildren, Alyia Gatzke, P. J. Williams and Kai Alberta Williams.

In memory of Jack, memorial contributions may be made to Zion Lutheran Church.
