He was predeceased by: his wife Jeanne; and his siblings, Mary, William and Ruth. He is survived by: his children, Dave Schafer (Doreen), Ray Schafer (Barb), Judy Langston (Kevin), Patti Owens (John) and Jim Schafer (Marilyn); his grandchildren, Craig (Ashley), Courtney (Bill), Ryan, Katelynn (Derek), Julia, Sunshine, Andrew and Claire; and his great grandchildren, Kylie, Charlotte, Augustyn, Leroy, Roland, Arliss and River. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
