It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Helen Garris (Ann Arbor, Michigan), who passed away on February 13, 2025, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parent Zoi Cazepis (Cossolias); her husband Jack J. Garris; and her siblings, Nicholas and Elizabeth Cazepis. She is survived by: her children, Steven Z. Garris (Stacy), Michael J. Garris and Jacalen J. Garris (Jeanne); her sister Catherine Graf-Olsen; her grandchildren, Jenny Grutter (Jason), Zachary Garris (Sarah), Jenna Bernthal (Daniel), Stephanie Simon (Jacob), Kristiana Cristman (Joseph), Sophia and Jack; and her great grandchildren, Brayden, Evan, Lauren, Owen, David, Luke, James, Kalli, Evyenia, Aubriella, Izzidora, Porter, Paisley, Simon and Summer.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Nie Family Funeral Home, Liberty Road Chapel (3767 W Liberty Rd, Ann Arbor, MI 48103). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church (3109 Scio Church Rd, Ann Arbor, MI 48103). A burial was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Forest Hill Cemetery (415 Observatory St, Ann Arbor, MI 48104).
