She was predeceased by: her parents, Alton Powell and Lucille Powell; her brother David Powell; and her son Gary Stocker. She is survived by: her daughters, Cheryl L. Fields (Robert L.) and Cynthia A. Bartley (Mark S.); her grandchildren, Rob Blevins, Brian Blevins, Cassandra Reis, Brandon Carlos, Drew Fields, Melissa Southward, Eva Tarver and Essie Tarver; her great grandchildren, Nathan Reis, Julianne Blevins, Jordan Blevins, Molly Reis, Rosie Blevins, Madison Southward and Lillian Southward; her daughter-in-law Marian Stocker; and her niece Cheryl Powell. She is also survived by friends and family.
She was a devout Christian and very active in her church, until her later years when she suffered from Alzheimer's. Numerous Bible Studies were led by Jerry and she would take the calling to help and guide whomever God placed in her path.
