He is survived by: his wife Karen Kost; his children, Sara Whisenant (William) and Michael Viland; his grandchildren, Arianna and Ava Whisenant; his brothers-in-law, Andrew Kost and Jeffrey Kost; his cousins, Rick Richardson, Randy Richardson (Margo), Mark Richardson and Sarah Vinyard (Kevin); his sisters, Leslie Hurton (Bill), Janet Castiglione (Gary) and Ellen Richard (Ralph); and his nephews, Eric (Charlotte) and John Viland.
