He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Essenburg and Delia Essenburg (Elzinga); his siblings, Evelyn Van Ingen and Jerry Essenburg; his sisters-in-law, Carol Essenburg and Glady Essenburg; and his granddaughter Meredith Rose Essenburg.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn; his grandchildren, Ed and Barb Essenburg; his children, Merwyn, Wendy Essenburg, Alvin and Kimberly Essenburg; his brothers, Robert Essenburg, Milton Essenburg, Donald Essenburg (Lois), Richard Essenburg and Clifford Essenburg (Julie); and his siblings-in-law, Janice Essenburg, Carl Van Ingen, Ruth Mulder (Bill Coffman), Marv Apol (Karen) and Ron Apol (Jan).
