She was predeceased by: her husband Charlie Carter Sr.; her parents, Mack Thomas, and Annie Bell Thomas, Sr. (Bacon); her siblings, Sarah, Rosa Mae, Eloise, Lillie Mae, Randolph and Mack Jr.; her grandchildren, Kawanda Carter and Travis Williams; her great grandchild Shandar Turner; and her brother George Thomas (Betty).
She is survived by: her children, Rev. Charlie M. Carter Jr. (Coleen), LeRoy Carter, Cassandra Williams (Leroy), Carl Carter (Adeline), Teresa Hampton (Wade), Kevin Carter, Eric Carter and Mark Carter; and her siblings, Lula Fortson, Mattie Stephens and Leroy Thomas (Fannie). She is also survived by 31 grandchildren, 83 great-grandchildren, and 24 great-great-grandchildren.
