He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Jacob and Vera Mae Hoelzer (O'Hara); his wife Mary "Penny" Hoelzer; his son Martin Hoelzer; his grandsons, Justin Wenger and Joshua Hoelzer; and his sisters, Marilyn Randall and Patsy Bellanger.
He is survived by: his children, Carolyn Duff (William) of Jackson, Barbara Hoelzer of Adrian, Ralph Hoelzer (Brenda) of Ann Arbor, Douglas Hoelzer of Tecumseh, Bonnie Poffenbaugh (Mitch) of Morral, OH and Steve Hoelzer of Adrian; his grandchildren, Jason Rorabacher (Tabitha) of Adrian, Angie Wenger (Jeremy) of Brooklyn, Michelle Fowler of Jackson, Jeremy Rorabacher (Deeon) of Brooklyn, Kelsey Miller (Jay) of Saline, Jacob Hoelzer of Ann Arbor, Derek Hoelzer of Ann Arbor, Ethan Hoelzer of Ann Arbor, Samuel Hoelzer of Tecumseh, Grace Anne Hoelzer of Tecumseh and Kyle Green of Bucyrus, OH; his great grandchildren, Ryan, Amy, Amber, James, Jacklynn, Christopher, Kenley and Maverick; and his stepgreat-grandson Braedon Leathed.
