A Young Han Obituary
A Young peacefully departed to be with the Lord on Wednesday morning, March 27, 2024. She passed away surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 29, 1980, in Seoul, South Korea, she was the cherished youngest daughter of Byong Cheol Han and Ho Ja Lee.
A Young's passion for music, particularly the piano, was evident from her youth. She dedicated herself to serving as an accompanist for worship services, a calling she embraced since her formative years in middle school. A Young came to the United States in 2002 to study and she received her bachelor's degree in Music at Eastern Michigan University in 2009. After completing her undergraduate studies, she moved to Chicago and worked towards her master's degree in Intercultural Studies at Trinity International University while teaching piano to children in Chicago.
In 2014, A Young married with Byoung H Lee, and together they welcomed their son, Elijah, in 2015, and their daughter, Abigail, in 2018. A Young was always very devoted to her children, even when she was having health challenges. A Young is remembered fondly by her older sister, A Rum Han, her older brother, Gil Ro Han, and her nephew, David Han.
Upon relocating to Ann Arbor in 2016, A Young found further fulfillment as an accompanist at the Korean United Methodist Church of Ann Arbor, where her talents and devotion were appreciated by all who knew her. Throughout her life, A Young held Christ as her cornerstone, exemplifying unwavering faith and devotion. Even in the face of illness, she remained steadfast, seeking solace and understanding in prayer and meditation.
A Young's legacy is one of love, faith, and dedication. She leaves behind a profound impact on those who had the privilege of knowing her, and her memory will be cherished forever.
Visitation will be held at Nie Funeral Home - 3767 W. Liberty Road, Ann Arbor, Michigan 48103 on Friday, April 5, 2024 from 5:00pm - 8:00pm. A funeral service will take place at Korean United Methodist Church of Ann Arbor - 1536 Franklin St, Ann Arbor, Michigan 48103 on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 11:00am. Friends and family are welcome to begin gathering at church at 10:00am. Immediately following services, burial will take place at Bethlehem Cemetery in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
