He is survived by: his wife Ilene; his children, Timothy Karl Peterson, Marsha Lynn Kindig (Eric), Matthew Paul Peterson (Michelle) and Melissa Joy Pfeifer; the mother of his children Joan Peterson of Jackson; his stepchildren, Clarence "Bud" Mathews III, Janet Morgon (Don), Lorrain Somes, Kenneth Somes (Bonnie) and Tomas Somes (Cindy); his sister Idaann VanVolkenburg; and his siblings-in-law, Donna Peterson, Carol Vossen and Edmund Schlosser. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren; "Grandpa Candy" to 15 great grandchildren.
