He is survived by: his wife Donna; his children, Kelly Chaffee and Karin Chaffee; his grandchildren, Jim Swingrum, Noah Lopez-Chaffee and Hailey Cone; and his sister Helene Kleymeer (Gary). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
