He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Tappenden and Winnifred Tappenden (Gruner); and his brother Steve Tappenden. He is survived by: his daughters, Becky Kissinger (Tim) and Linda Nichols (Mark); his grandchildren, Dustin Kissinger, Emily Kissinger and Matthew Nichols; his former wife Karen Hillborg; his nephew Ben Tappenden (Julie); his great-niece Grace Tappenden; and his great-nephew Tyler Tappenden.
