He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward and Malvena; and his brother Edward Benoit II. He is survived by: his wife Miriam Behnke; his children, Peggy Kolnowski (Tom) of Austin, TX, Randy Benoit (Lori) of Alpena, MI and Linda Mischloney (Wayne) of Alpena, MI; his grandchildren, Erin Kolnowski, Brendon Kolnowski (Kathyrn), Afton Street (Matt), Amber Benoit, Danny Bouchard (Alicia), Emma Woloszyk (Tom), Heidi Romanowski (Mike), Rachel Wong (Erik) and Jesse Mischloney (Jaclyn); and his great grandchildren, Alexis, Eli, Logan, Collin, Adriana, Gracelynn, Riley, Kaden and Sawyer.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Huron Humane Society.
