It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ronald Merville Smith of Alpena, Michigan, born in Herron, Michigan, who passed away on July 10, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Merville Smith and Clara Smith (Lancaster); his wife Norma Jean Munroe; and his siblings, Shirley Wallace, Roger Smith and Shelby Alexander.
He is survived by: his children, Rick Smith (Denise), Lori Conard (Gary), Beth Buse (Tim) and Jodi Herman (Brent); his grandchildren, Jacquelyn Lin (Wei-Yand), Brynne Masotti (Joe), Chelsea Conard, Anna McCalpin (Matt), Jennifer Newhouse (Curt), Jeffrey McDonald (Terra), Alexa Herman and Breanna Herman; his great grandchildren, Harper, Tannah, Gianna, Andrea, Addie, Wes, Clara, Colin, Ashliegh and Zach; his siblings, Audrie Rensberry and Terry Smith (Beverly); and his sister-in-law Therese Weed.
