He is survived by: his children, Thomas Werner (Lynn) and Jane Werner; his grandchildren, Sara Doyle (Bob), Laura Grehl (Eric) and Eric Werner; his great grandchildren, Landon Doyle, Connor Doyle and Jillian Grehl; and his brother William Werner (Isabel).
