He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Hompstead and Leanore Hompstead (Johnson). He is survived by: his wife Janet Miller; his sons, Todd Hompstead (Becky) of Monroe, MI and Noah Hompstead of Alpena; his grandsons, Oliver and Myles; his sister Carlene Lancewicz (Garry) of Traverse City; his stepdaughters, Tracy, Amy and Lisa; his close friend Don LaBonte; and his nephew Randy Hompstead (Judy). He is also survived by 11 step grandchildren.
