He was predeceased by: his parents, George Karsen and Eliza Karsen (Becker); his wife Ann Randle; his grandson Billy Travis; and his siblings, Betty Belt and Robert Karsen.
He is survived by: his children, Richard Karsen Jr. (Lisa), Sandy Karsen, Judy Cordes (Bob) and John Karsen (David); his stepchildren, Michelle Rayner, Kristina Leeseberg (Nathanael) and Michael Rayner (Mehrzad); his brothers, Ronald and Frank Karsen; and his sister-in-law Marge. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, three step grandchildren.
