He was predeceased by: his granddaughter Alicia Lynn Gagnon; and his siblings, Irma Leist, Donald, Robert and Harry.

He is survived by: his wife Dolores Beck; and his children, Connie Funk (Doug), Joan Vanover (Ron), Janet Gagnon (Mike) and Paul Wegmeyer (Eileen). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
