He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Smolinski and Anna Smolinski (Lewandowski) of Alpena, Michigan.; his wife Blondine Smolinski (Dziesinski); and his siblings, Ed Smolinski (Donna), Florence Kaczorowski (Ed) and Ralph Smolinski.

He is survived by: his children, Gina Moorman (Matt), Brad Smolinski (Dawn) and Kristina Schrotenboer (G. R.); his grandchildren, Monica Smith (Logan), Ryan Moorman, Tyler Moorman (Ashley), Autumn Egan, Faith Egan, Zach Schrotenboer (Casey) and Kristen Schrotenboer; his great grandchildren, Brock Smith, Lydia Smith, Elijah Moorman and Olivander Egan; and his sister-in-law June Smolinski. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Donations may be made in Norm's honor to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
