She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank McCarty and Elizabeth McCarty (Wood); her husband Alvin Lumsden; her grandson Dale Arthur Kirschner; and her siblings, Earl McCarty, Leonard McCarty, Robert McCarty, Steve McCarty and Hazel Kearney.

She is survived by: her daughters, Elizabeth Kirschner (Ruben) and Elsie Wilson (Scott); her grandchildren, Kenneth Kirschner (Jamie), Suzanne Kirschner, Heather Rossi (Daniel), Joseph Kirschner (Chelsie), David Kirschner (Kassi) and Hillary Lancaster (Aaron Sroka); her great grandchildren, Chara, Javon, Ian, Eli, Benjamin, Joey, Greyson, Charlotte, Abraham and Isaiah; and her brothers, John McCarty (Noma), Carl McCarty and Mike McCarty (Angie). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Interment: Long Rapids Township Cemetery, In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in memory of Mrs. Lumsden to Promedica Hospice.
