With solemn reverence, we commemorate Madeline Mary Lucas of Alpena, Michigan, whose life came to an end on April 24, 2025 at the age of 102, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter LaMarre and Exilda LaMarre (Robinette); her husband Donald Lucas of Anne's Church; her son-in-law Danny Jore; and her great great grandchild Kennedy Niles.
She is survived by: her daughter Mariette Jore (Dan); her son-in-law Dennis Hiske; her children, Diane Kelley (Michael), Ruth McEwen (William), Theodore Lucas (Sandy), Thomas Lucas (Cindy), Margaret LaBarge (Robert), Jeanette Shupert (John), Robert Lucas (Beth) and Thea Lucas; and her siblings, Albert LaMarre (Dorothy), Henry LaMarre, Reverend Theodore LaMarre, Armond LaMarre (Dorothy), Virgil LaMarre (Gladys), Richard LaMarre (Kathleen), Rena LaMarre, Thea LaMarre and Imogene Manion (Gerald). She is also survived by 42 grandchildren; 56 great grandchildren and 15 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A prayer will be held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Bannan Funeral Home (222 S 2nd Ave, Alpena, MI 49707). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Of All Saints Parish.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to All Saints School and Hospice of Michigan.
