She was predeceased by: her parents, Wiley Coomer and Ora Coomer (Collins); her spouse Francis Buvia; her daughter Rebbecca Gould; her siblings, Berry (Coomer), Harlie Coomer, Irene Cerveny and Eddie Franklin Coomer; and her cousin Martha "Skippy" Adkins.

She is survived by: her children, Phillip Buvia (Peggy), Michael Buvia (Tammy), Gail Pretzer (Gary), Michelle Buvia (Pat) and Harriet Pinger (Loren); and her sister Bettie Joe. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren.
