He was predeceased by: his great grandchild Russell "Bubby" Cruzan III; his son-in-law Art Snapper; and his siblings, Elaine Grzeskowiak, Bernadine Lewandowski, Phil Budnik, Pat Budnik, Charlotte Darga, Annettte Budnik, Florian Budnik, Clarence Budnik, Fritz Budnik and Alphonse Budnik.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Lewandowski; his children, Michele Herrington (Frank Cliggett), Julie Archer (Eric), Lori Budnik-Snapper (David Wayne), Paul Budnik and Kim Budnik-Nap; his grandchildren, Michelle Budnik-Nap (Russell Cruzan II), Melissa Nap (Barry Noakes), Austin Herrington (Meghan) and Tyler Herrington (Mikaela Kassan); his siblings, Emil Budnik (Patsy), George Budnik (Joanie), Lawrence Budnik (Barb), Mitch Budnik (Clara) and Jeanette Buczkowski (William); and also, Kerrigan Metheny, Allyana Rose and Cadence Cruzan.
Inurnment: Fort Custer National Cemetery, In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mitochondrial Foundation or All Saints School.
