She was predeceased by: her father Richard Sheppler. She is survived by: her mother Hattie Sheppler; her husband Lawrence Cody; her children, Jennifer Cody and Adam Cody (Cassandra); and her siblings, Nancy McClung (Lloyd), Barbara King (Ken) and Jeff Sheppler (Renee). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for contributions in Kathy's name be made to The Alpena Boys & Girls Club.
