She is survived by: her parents, Arthur Samp and Gertrude Samp (Zielaskowski); her husband James Kelly; her sons, Jason Kelly (Heather) of Battle Creek, MI. and Matt Kelly (Ashleigh) of Alpena; her grandchildren, Leigha, James, Kora, Elise and Izaac; and her siblings, Bernadine Gagnon (Mark) of Alpena, Michael Samp (Patty) of Grand Rapids, MI. and Sharon Hamilton (Ray) of Dallas, TX.. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made in Karen's name to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
