It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jeanette M. Nowakowski of Alpena, Michigan, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on October 14, 2022, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Mark Greene and Catherine Greene (Donahue); her sisters, Frances Farry (Greene) and Mary Ellen Greene; her son-in-law Larry McCoy; and her grandchildren, Matthew Hoppe, Jessica Bartunek and Mark McCoy.
She is survived by: her children, John Nowakowski (Patricia) of Alpena, Mary Chavez (Jose "Tito") of New Mexico, Mark Nowakowski (Diane) of Alpena, Jane McCoy of Idaho, Catherine Hoppe (Louis) of Alpena, Frances Arthur (Michael) of Alpena, Nancy Matlack (Thomas) of Washington, Stephen Nowakowski (Kelly) of Alpena and Therese Bartunek (William) of Illinois; her grandchildren, Jennifer Spomer (Steve), David Benac (Heather), Ben Nowakowski (Brooke Alloway), Meghan Cameron (Matt), Tom Nowakowski (Sarah), Bill Chavez (Aron), Anita Chavez-Berry (Daniel Berry), Julie Nowakowski, Lisa Nowakowski, Amy Nowakowski (Tim Campbell), Luke McCoy (Tani), Sarah Copping (Matt), Jamie Talaski (Alan), Matt Arthur, Steve Arthur, Rebecca Matlack (Josh Ulstedt), Alyssa Goff (Jeremy), Corey Nowakowski, Douglas Pupard (Jennifer), Michael Nowakowski, Natalie Nowakowski, Catherine Zheng (William) and Christopher Bartunek; and her great grandchildren, Kali, Emilee Spomer, Gus, Rose Nowakowski, Conner, Grace, Madelynn, Amelia Cameron, Logan, Olivia, Lucy, Levi Nowakowski, Franz, Vernon, Ariana Chavez, Hoshi Berry, Kyle Werda, Ella, Livi Campbell, Kaylie, Kinsie McCoy, Ellora, Stella Johnson, Maximus, Penelope Copping, Gauge Talaski, Marcus Moretti, Kyra Goff, Ewan, Ivy Renn, Atlas, Eris Pupard, Elias and Adeline Zheng.
