James W. Carls Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James W. Carls of Alpena, Michigan, who passed away on October 9, 2021 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Carls and Doris Carls (Houghton); his wife Helen Rondeau; and his stepdaughter KayLynn Shultz. He is survived by: his friends, Dan Hunter and Rex Rogers; his children, Daniel Carls of Texas, Valerie Carls Cox and Vicki Carls Porter of Tennessee; and his stepchildren, David Schultz (Janie) of Memphis, Mary McQuarrie (Darryl) of Alpena, MI, Karen King (Robert) of Jacksonville, FL, Jill Shiemke (Pete) of Hubbard Lake, MI, Tami Hazel (Jay) of Galloway, OH and Heidi King (Don) of Batesville, IN.. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren.
Donations, if desired, can be made to NEMROC of Alpena (where Jim used to volunteer), or to Samaritas Apartments Game Fund, where Jim was instrumental in getting the Cornhole tournaments started.
