He was predeceased by: his parents, Cleo Briley and Emma Briley (Dice); and his siblings, Mary Marquart, Larry Briley, Carl Briley, Christopher Briley and Roger Briley.
He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Gruschke-Mowery (Rick) and Christopher Briley; his grandchildren, Parker Gruschke, Kerrigan Gruschke, Mira Briley, Charles Mowery and Dillon Mowery; the mother of his children Sonja Briley; his siblings, Florence White, Regina Hottois, Allen Briley and Katheryn Smith; and his siblings-in-law, Roger Marquart and Judy Briley (Jan Briley). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, November 18th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A prayer was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the Bannan Funeral Home (222 S 2nd Ave, Alpena, MI 49707). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Of All Saints Parish (817 Sable St, Alpena, MI 49707).
