He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Burns and Meryl Burns (Hester); and his siblings, Jenny of Washington and Norman Burns. He is survived by: his wife Kimberly Matzke; his children, Cindy Burns, Melissa Palmquist (Jerry), Dan Burns (Donna), Trisha Girard (Paul), Janelle Werda (Ken) and Michelle Courech (John); his grandchildren, Kayla, Aaron, Jacob, Nathanial, Zach, Gina, Griffin, Isaiah, Lacee, Kelcie (Austin), Mylee, Joree, Hannah, Kennasen, Kaleb (Jolene) and Emma; his siblings, Lee Burns, Rick Burns, Kay Lusk, Judy Walker and Vicki Dusterhoft (Tim); and his pet Lucy. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
