He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Pernie and Jeannette Pernie (Lince); his siblings, Helen Phillips (Mike), Anne Forrester (Richard) and Paul Pernie; and his brother-in-law Joseph Lancewicz.
He is survived by: his wife Debra (Woodkowski); his children, Peggy Pardike (Merlin) of Alpena, Jean Obuchowski of Alpena and Lynn Karkotarski of Alpena; his grandchildren, Donald, Autumn, Merlin and Jason; his siblings, David Pernie (Judy) and Ruth Lancewicz; his siblings-in-law, Lawrence Woodkowski (Darla) and Rosemary Pernie; and his pets, Bonnie and Clyde. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
