With solemn reverence, we commemorate Douglas Hayka of Alpena, Michigan, whose life came to an end on February 1, 2025 at the age of 74, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Robert Hayka; and his siblings, Jerry and Sarah Ross. He is survived by: his wife Joyce; his children, Andrew Hayka (Cait) and Aimee Chrzan (Eric); his grandchildren, Benjamin, Levi, Owen, Madelyn Hayka, Mason, Tucker and Hunter Chrzan; his siblings, Bob Hayka (Jean), James Hayka (Linda), Sally Nesmith (Greg), John Hayka (Dana) and Ed Hayka; his siblings-in-law, Diane Hayka and Bill Ross; and also Ilene. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the St. Paul Lutheran Church (727 S 2nd Ave, Alpena, MI 49707). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the VFW Post #2496 Maintenance Fund, Compassus Hospice, or St. Paul Lutheran Church – Alpena.
