He was predeceased by: his parents, Eleanor MacNall (Neubert) and Donald MacNall Sr.; and his siblings, Marita MacNall O. P. and Robert MacNall. He is survived by: his wife Blanche Pilarski; his daughter Julie Coleman (Brian); his grandsons, Joshua and Caleb; his daughter Kathleen Scheid (Tim); his granddaughters, Melissa Hultman (Grant) and Deanna Scheid; his great grandchild Charlotte; and his brother Larry Kaiser. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. The military honors was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the A. E. Ross Funeral Home (516 W Chisholm St, Alpena, MI 49707). A rosary was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Knights of Columbus Chalice Presentation. A prayer was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the A. E. Ross Funeral Home (516 W Chisholm St, Alpena, MI 49707). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Anne Catholic Church (817 Sable St, Alpena, MI 49707). A burial was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Cross Cemetery (1300 W Washington Ave, Alpena, MI 49707).
