He is survived by: his wife Peggy; his children, Andrea, Garret and Erika; his pet Millie; his mother-in-law Lois Willis; his brothers, Dudley Schmidt (Sue) and Scot Schmidt; and his sister-in-law Kimberly Eisenhut (Ed). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
