He was predeceased by: his parents, Felix Szymanski and Martha Szymanski (Kieliszewski); his wife Ann E. Lindsay; his son Paul Szymanski; and his brothers, James and Richard.
He is survived by: his son Tom (Amy Daniell) of Richmond, Virginia; his granddaughter Lindsay Ann Szymanski of Oakland Park, Florida; his daughter-in-law Cynthia Harter of Grand Rapids; and his siblings, Doris Stafford and Daniel Szymanski (Jeanne) of Alpena. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and friends.
