It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Fay Menefee of Alpena, Michigan, born in Rogers City, Michigan, who passed away on March 15, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Elmer Bruning; her husband Charles; her siblings, Beverly Karnes, Arthur and Dennis Bruning; and her grandson Daniel Quaine.
She is survived by: her daughters, Jane Maker, Vicki Lijewski (Lester), Lori Bonifas (John) and Patti Fontaine (David); her stepchildren, Marie Miller, Charles Menefee II (Alice) and David Menefee; her sisters-in-law, Kathy Bruning and Mary Bruning; her grandchildren, Rachel Quaine (Todd LaHaie), Rebekah Menefee, Kevin Maker (Suki), Ashley Erickson (Varick), Derek Menefee (Chris Rensberry) and Brett Bonifas; and her stepgrandchildren, Kelly Miller, Kevin Miller, Kirsten Miller-Zisholz, Kip Miller, Charles Menefee III and Molly Menefee.
