She was predeceased by: her father Edwin Kuchnicki; her husband Lawrence Hier; and her brother Robert. She is survived by: her son Christopher Hier (Aimee); her grandchildren, Abby, CJ and Maggie; and her sister Janet Peirce (Michael). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was a member of St. Bernard's parish and she volunteered and donated to numerous charities.
