He is survived by: his former wife Karen Courter; his wife Karen Mills; his son William "Billy" Mills, III; his grandchildren, Grant Mills (Ali), Brittani Mills, Brendon Mills (Hayley), Annikka Mills (Dallas), Trisha Silvernail and Paige Layman; his great grandchildren, Drew and Charlee Mills; his siblings, Wayne Mills, Jay Mills (Anita) and Cristy LeBaron (Gary); and his siblings-in-law, Jim Courter, Tom Courter (Barb), Janice Courter, Elaine Fleming (Dan), Juanita Edwards (Cam), Jean Davenport (Terry), Kathy Wilhelm (Kyle) and Laura Courter (Stephanie). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
