He was predeceased by: his parents, Corbley "Bob" and Lorena Tennant (Vibber); and his son Chad Tennant. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Beard; his children, Michelle Timmons (Clyde) and Brad Tennant (Amy); his daughter-in-law Kelly Tennant; his grandchildren, Naia, Angela, Connor and Brenden; and his brother Albert Tennant (Ginny).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mid-Michigan Hospice.
